Everyone can write a novel.
Yours is probably just waiting there at the tip of your finger waiting for you
to start tapping at the keyboard. Most fresh writers believe that writing is
just like ABC. Sit down and the novel will just come sailing out on its own -
talk about writing by the seat of your pants! The truth is that most
established writers have come up with their own formula for writing. Some start
by writing the ending of their story first then trying to find out how their character
ended up there in the first place. Some use writing software to try to figure
out exactly where they are. Some write skeleton plots then figure out the rest
as they go along. One thing is true though; they all start from somewhere.
I've always been a literary
fanatic with some mathematics and OCD thrown in for flavor - so it was only
natural for me to come up with a formula. It works for me because I love to
write thrillers and fantasies so this way I can keep track of everything going
on in my book world.
I'll be honest with you I
was tempted to make a whole day by day break down for you on how to write your
novel in 100 days. Sometimes you may take longer than a day to deal with
certain aspects of novel writing. So instead I decided to divide it up
instead into the different stages of novel writing. All you have to do is
complete a particular stage during the set number of days and you will be able
to finish your novel. However even if you are the 'swing by your pants' type
simply click on the links at any particular stage you need to research on and
you'll find the information you need to make your novel stand out.
If you decide to begin this
challenge; make a commitment to yourself to finish it no matter how challenging
it may seem on any day. Find yourself a good environment to write your novel.
Find a good chair and desk, the right software and hardware and a fantastic
playlist. (click on links for further information)
